Venu operates the Venu mobile application. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information.

2. Information We Collect

• Account info: Name, email, and profile photo (via Google, Apple, or Email OTP).
• Location: Precise location for check-in and nearby discovery, only while the app is active.
• Photos: Images you upload as memories or avatars, stored on Cloudflare R2.
• Messages: Direct and group chat content, transmitted over encrypted connections.
• Device info: Device type, OS version, and push notification tokens (Firebase FCM).

3. How We Use Your Information

• To operate the app and its features.
• To show nearby venues, events, and people based on your location.
• To deliver push notifications for messages and events.
• To verify your identity and secure your account.
• To improve and develop the app.

4. Sharing Your Information

We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with service providers (Firebase, Cloudflare R2, Google Places, RevenueCat, Twilio), other users at the same venues or events (name, avatar, check-in status), and when required by law.

5. Data Retention & Deletion

We retain your data while your account is active. To delete your account and data, go to Profile → Settings → Delete Account or email us at [email protected].

6. Security

We use TLS encryption, JWT authentication with short-lived tokens, and biometric re-authentication.

7. Children's Privacy

The app is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13.
